Apparently I bumped you from AlphaInventions, so here I am to commiserate. See if I care. You'll be back. It's quite a wonderful thing, lots of references, but I'm not sure how long the visitors stay or read.

Since we're in a bookish mode, a new book, Buildings of the Pacific Coast, has just been published by Shelter Publications and is of interest to those who live in a house, being a grand collection of pictured places built by stout chaps from sea driftwood and the like. I was the designer.

Yes, maybe no longer public library will changed its "phisical" orientation to the digital way. Just like a post office changed by mobile phone and e-mail. People still need a "comunications" just like still need a "books". But the changes of the age also always convert the "device" to fulfill what people "needs".

So, the library design and planning today should consider the future change! Be sustainable!

Thank you CUStodian! I guess we all have our favorite 2.0ish tools, and also the ones we love to hate. I still can't get past the awfulness of Facebook and MySpace, but alas I have to go there to listen to songs by musicians I like (whose CDs I'm too cheap to buy), because their webpages are on MySpace.

Using Twitter for my own selfish purposes (publicizing) gives me a delightful feeling that I'm a mad scientist.

Thanks for highlighting our blog, Closed Stacks. I agree that there is much to read in the crossover universe of blogs and librarianship; however, if you can keep up through a referral service, it's well worth the effort. The ideas are plentiful!
